Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) resending old messages.

Have you had any problem with your Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) that keep on resending your old messages? This is not consistent, in IT we call it an "intermittent" issue.

I was able to discussed this blackberry issue with Research in Motion (RIM) Blackberry technical support today and she gave me suggestion to resolve the problem.

How to fix this problem:
1) First check your mailbox Inbox folder number of messages. This must be reduce to 900 messages or less. You can move your old messages to a new folder. The 900 messages limit mark is highly recommended for Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) user. This is tested to resolve this problem 9 out 10 according to RIM tech support.
2) Next action is to re-initiate your Blackberry phone by deleting your email information within blackberry website (not your e-mail server). This is to get an updated service book from Blackberry website.
3) Once it is re-establish, you will receive a welcome email from blackberry.
4) This process should resolve intermittent receiving old messages.

If the problem still occur we will continue to trouble shoot this issue.
- Troubleshooting of Blackberry website against your OWA website.
- Using Blackberry phone to track messages through “REF ID”.

If you have any question, post your comment.

Thank you.
